LPD: Woman’s boyfriend shoots her son in the leg

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police say an altercation between a woman’s son and her boyfriend ends in a shooting.

Police say 51-year-old Carl Wilson, Jr. was arrested on charges of assault, after shooting his girlfriend’s son in the leg last Wednesday.

It happened in a parking lot in the 1100-block of Centre Parkway.

Investigators say the victim, Dequan Stinson, identified Wilson as his attacker.

According to Stinson, it started when he had a female guest over that his mother did not want at the apartment.

Documents say Stinson’s mother called Wilson, who is her boyfriend.

Stinson told police Wilson came over, there was a fight and Wilson shot him.
