Death investigation underway in Ohio Co.

FORDSVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police are investigating the death of an Ohio Co. man on Narrows Road in Fordsville.

Detectives say that Daniel R. Easterling, 47, was at the home of James Rogers, 58, when Easterling got into a physical and verbal argument with Rogers’ daughter.  According to investigators, Rogers tried to intervene, but was unsuccessful.  That’s when officers say Rogers got a handgun and fired it, hitting Easterling.  He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Ohio Co. Coroner.

An autopsy is scheduled Friday in Louisville.  Troopers say the investigation is ongoing.
