Firefighters called to barn fire in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Lexington Fire Department responded to a barn fire on Sulphur Well Road Thursday afternoon.

Fire officials say the fire spread from a barn to a nearby trailer with a woman inside.

They say she heard the fire, while sleeping and was able to get out. She was taken to the hospital but is expected to be OK.

A semi, at the scene the fire produced thick black smoke that could be seen for miles.
