38-year-old man dies in single-car crash
DRIFT, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 38-year-old man was killed when the car he was driving left the road in rural Floyd County and crashed.
According to the Kentucky State Police, Willis Chaffins, of Hueysville, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash which was reported to troopers at about 7:30 a.m. Friday.
The KSP said Chaffins was driving on the right fork of Cow Hollow Road in the Drift community north of McDowell when the car left the road.
Trooper Shane Hurtt is investigating the collision and was assisted on scene by Kentucky State Police Post 9 personnel and Lifeguard Ambulance Service.
