Convicted felon on the run after allegedly shooting brother: Sheriff
PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Pulaski County investigators are looking for a convicted felon who shot his brother during a fight Labor Day and then fled.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Adam Showalter still was on the run and his brother, Timothy Showalter was in UK Medical Center with serious gunshot wounds, according to Pulaski County Sheriff Greg Speck.
According to Speck, at about 4:10 p.m. Monday, a verbal argument occurred the two at their mother’s residence, 4780 Highway 328 in Eubank. The argument resulted in Adam shooting Timothy in the abdomen once with a shotgun and then fleeing with the gun. Timothy Showalter was flown from the scene to UK and Adam Showalter fled the scene in his mother’s gray four-door 2007 Toyota Corolla with KY license BMB-036, Speck said.
Adam Showalter faces charges of first-degree assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to the sheriff.
He is described as 38 years old, about 5’9” and 160 pounds. He is considered armed and dangerous. Residents are urged to call 911 if they see him.
