Lexington Public Library to resume Homework Help program
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ/Press Release) – The Lexington Public Library today announced the Village Branch, located at 2185 Versailles Road, will resume its Homework Help program on Tuesday, Sept. 7. The program runs daily Monday through Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on days when Fayette County Public Schools are in session and includes an afterschool snack from God’s Pantry Food Bank.
The program pairs volunteers with students to assist with homework assignments and/or reading assistance on a one-on-one basis. For information about volunteering at the Library, please visit www.lexpublib.org/volunteer.
“Homework Help is one of our signature programs at the Village Branch,” says Executive Director Heather Dieffenbach. “We know how important it is for students to have a safe place to go after school, get a snack, and get help completing their homework. We’re excited to help our students grow and learn during this new school year.”
