Railbird organizers make improvements to day 2 of festival
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Controversy erupted across social media Saturday as the Railbird Music Festival was plagued with multi-hour long wait times for food and drinks.
In response, festival organizers distributed over 50,000 bottles of water to attendants as well as allowing factory sealed and reusable bottles into the festival. Water refill stations were placed throughout the festival as well.
Josh Dee of Breathitt County attended both days of Railbird. He says the first day was tough with the long lines but the improvements have helped.
“The water situation was a little iffy, i know there were long lines. But when you have this many people for such an amazing event you’re gonna have that. They’re allowing sealed water bottles in which is a great thing. They have plenty of refill stations available for all the folks coming out. I think things have tremendously improved.”
Despite Saturday’s circumstances, 30,000-35,000 visitors were expected to attend the event.
