Cal still not a fan of conference tournaments

NASHVILLE (WTVQ) – Conference tournaments are good for teams needing an automatic bid.  That’s Coach Cal’s stance.

If you’re already a lock to play in the NCAA tournament, seeding is all that’s at stake during the conference tourney.

Cal holds in that instance, his teams never get much benefit, win or lose, in terms of seeding by their performance in the postseason.

But is this season any different than years past?  Has Cal flipped his position and view of the conference tournament?  It’s unlikely if you look at just one statement from Thursday down in Nashville, “Nothing we do all year is Friday, Saturday, Sunday.”
