‘Ballet Under the Stars’ drawing crowds at Woodland Park

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington’s premier outdoor dance celebration is drawing crowds at Woodland Park.

‘Ballet Under the Stars’ returned Thursday, August 5, 2021. It runs through August 8, 2021. The park is located at 601 E. High St.

Appreciative audiences are experiencing a night of professional ballet, complete with stage, lighting and costumes.

The event begins each night at 8 p.m. with a pre-show youth production. It’s a chance for young dancers from all area dance schools to come together for the event.

The main show, featuring professional dancers from Kentucky Ballet Theatre, begins at 9 p.m.

Bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating.  People can pack a picnic dinner or purchase concessions on-site.
