Woman accused of breaking into apartment, assaulting residents, officers
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 35-year-old Lexington woman is charged with burglary and assault for allegedly breaking into two different residences, assaulting her common-law spouse and police officers, according to arrest citations.
Normandy Mundy, of Augusta Court, was arrested early Sunday morning following incidents on Effie Road and Springridge Drive, according to the citations.
A little before 4 a.m. Sunday, Mundy is accused of assaulting her common-law spouse on Effie Road, according to the citations. About 15 minutes later, she is accused of breaking into a unit on Springridge Drive and assaulted two people. When confronted by officers, she allegedly assaulted them as well, hitting one in the face and kicking another, among other things, according to the citations.
She also is accused of leaving the scene of an accident not far from the Springridge scene.
Her bond is set at $10,000, according to Fayette County Detention Center records.
