Artists sell out before festival close
BEREA, Ky. (WTVQ) – Over 100 artists from 12 different states set up booths to show off their artwork. Event organizers say it was not uncommon for some artists to sell out before the festival’s end on July 11. The Berea Craft Festival also had food trucks and wandering musicians to keep festival goers of all ages entertained.
“It’s a wonderful energy here. We have lots of old friends, make new friends every year,” says festival coordinator Melissa Gross. “It’s like every senses is going on here because there’s lots of smells, there’s lots of sounds, there’s lots of things to appreciate and touch.”
Festival organizers say they are glad to be back up and running. The Berea Craft Festival takes about a year to plan with applications starting soon to have a booth. Organizers say artists who can make their art interactive and work with the crowds are some of their favorite artists to work with. They were happy to see everyone together again enjoying art in nature.
