Road work on KY 746 in Menifee causes road to close indefinitely
JACKSON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Motorists who typically take KY 746 in Menifee County close to the Wolfe County line will need immediately find an alternate route.
Due to a failed drainage pipe, a large hole has developed in the pavement making the road impassable.
As work has begun to replace the pipe at milepoint 0.2, the road will be closed indefinitely until repairs are finished.
The area in question is near the intersection with KY 2071, which is 0.2 miles north of the Wolfe-Menifee county line.
According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, no marked detour will be posted. However, drivers can use KY 2071 and KY 3341 during the road closure and repairs.
Around 200 to 300 vehicles use this area of KY 746 every day.
