Fire consumes two-story home in Keavy

KEAVY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Firefighters spend more than three hours battling a huge house fire

and although the house is a total loss, the owners weren’t home at the time.

According to the Keavy Volunteer Fire Department in southern Laurel County, firefighters responded to the blaze on Auger Springs Road at about 11 p.m. Thursday after a neighbor spotted the flames and called it in.

The two-story, 3,300-square-foot home was fully involved when crews arrived.

Crews were on the scene for three and a half hours. Other crews responding included West Knox Fire and Rescue, and Ambulance Inc of Laurel County.
