BlueSprig opens new center in Georgetown for kids with Autism
GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – BlueSprig Autism Center opened a Georgetown center Sunday for children and adults with autism.
The center is the first in Georgetown.
It provides ABA therapy services from skilled clinicians to children and adults with autism.
Officials with the center say they opened a center in Georgetown to help rural areas and limit travel time for those in rural areas that are receiving their treatments.
BlueSprig’s goal is to help get people with autism ready for the real world.
“So here at Bluesprig we provide ABA therapy services for our clients. So, they come in during the week and we provide 1 to 1 therapy with all our clients. And it’s a good way for them to work on their goals and treatment plans” said Brionne Walker, Operations Manager.
“One of its missions is ABA close to home. So what we want is all of our kids to have services exactly where they live so that we can decrease the barrier of people driving in for services that they really need” said Katie Gibson, Clinical Director.
The grand opening Sunday had more than a dozen people in attendance with games and a circus for the kids, along with tours of the new center.
