UPDATE: Southbound I-75 reopened following semi-truck fire
UPDATE: Crews from PECCO Environmental Consultants from Nicholasville have completed clean up and I-75 southbound is fully reopened.

LEXINGTON, Ky (WTVQ) – Southbound I-75 at mile marker 118 is closed due to a semi-truck fire.
According to Battalion Chief Jordan Saas, the Lexington Fire Department responded to I-75 southbound just after 1:30 a.m. for the report of a possible semi on fire. Upon arrival, fire crews found a semi-truck had crashed and caught fire.
Saas says that PECCO has been requested to the scene to handle a diesel fuel spill.
According to Saas, the road is expected to be closed until at least 3:30 a.m. as crews work to extinguish the fire and clear the road. According to Lexington Police, southbound I-75 is closed in this area and traffic is being diverted to westbound I-64.
The scene is active and ongoing. Saas says are not any reports of injuries so far.
The cause of the crash is unknown.
