Semi accident closed I-75 NB in Fayette County for hours

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Part of I75 in Fayette County was shut down for most of the day on Wednesday after a semi-truck crashed and caught fire.

It happened just after 2 a.m. near exit 113.

Firefighters say the driver lost control of the truck, crashed into the median and flipped.

The driver was able to get out before the truck caught fire.

He was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Firefighters say he was hauling automotive parts and the debris scattered across both sides of the interstate.
