Shooter targets home – residents sleeping inside, unharmed

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police say bullets were fired into the front rooms of a Newcastle Street house early Tuesday morning.

A concerned citizen called police from Dorset drive at 3:30 a.m., to report gunfire. Lexington Police searched the area, and found a Newcastle Street house with at least 5 bullet holes in the front walls.

The adult and two minors inside say they were sleeping at the time of the shooting, and were not harmed.

Officers say they don’t know why that house was targeted, but plan on increasing patrols in the area as they search for the shooter.
