Lexington Fire Department Holds Fire Prevention Festival
The Lexington fire department held a downtown festival to kick off National Fire Prevention Week Monday.
The theme of the week-long event was "Have Two Ways Out", emphasizing the importance of having two escape routes in case of a house fire.
The festival had free food, drinks, games for kids, and information booths on how families can prevent fires in their homes.
It was also a prelude to the ‘Run To Remember’, a race to honor fallen 9/11 comrades, as well as a downtown parade.
