Mercer coroner: 22-month-old dead after apparent drowning

MERCER COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Mercer County Coroner’s Office says a 22-month-old baby is dead after an apparent drowning.

The sheriff’s office says it received a call Thursday about an unresponsive child found in a bathtub. Investigators say the baby was later pronounced dead at the emergency room.

The coroner’s office says an autopsy was scheduled for Friday in Frankfort.
