UPDATE: Victim in fatal Scott Co. crash identified

SCOTT CO., Ky. (WTVQ) -The Scott Co. Coroner has identified the victim in a fatal car crash over the weekend.

The coroner says 27-year-old Bridgette Ann Smith, of Owenton, died of blunt force trauma.

The wife and mother was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Authorities say it happened around 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning on I-75.  According to the Scott Co. Sheriff, she was the only person in the vehicle, when it left the roadway and hit a tree.
