Kidnapping suspect quickly arrested

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington police arrest a suspect less than an hour after a woman is kidnapped.

John Jarrett is charged with kidnapping and wanton endangerment.

Court documents say the 26-year-old Jarrett grabbed a woman by her clothing and pulled her into a his car Wednesday at 9:32 p.m.

The victim tells police her feet were hanging out of the car as he sped away.

She also tells police he held a tool to her neck, trying to choke her and threatened to kill her.

Jarrett was arrested at around 10:30 p.m.
