Flag presented to Blue Grass Stockyards staff

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Fire Chief Harold Hoskins presented an American flag to the Blue Grass Stockyards management staff early Wednesday afternoon.

The Lexington Police Department issued a release on Wednesday regarding the event, saying, “The response to the stockyards fire was a team effort, with our colleagues at the Lexington Fire Department leading the way. A big thank-you to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, KY for assisting our officers with traffic on Saturday.”

Mayor Jim Gray, also present at the event has declared this Friday, February 5, Firefighter Appreciation Day in Lexington, and is urging the community to show appreciation for the Lexington Fire Department by wearing red.
