Police: Teacher Arrested On Burglary And Assault Charges

Police say a Madison County Teacher was arrested over the weekend after she broke into her estranged husband’s home and assaulted a woman inside.

Tamara Mills, 38, is accused of unlawfully entering the home. Police say when she was forced out of the house she then broke multiple windows to get inside. Police say she ran from the home once her husband told her he had called the cops. Police say they found Mills at the Baptist Health Hospital where she was being treated from wounds she received from breaking the windows. She was charged with Burglary 2nd Degree and two counts of Assault in the 4th Degree.

Madison County Schools says Mills is a teacher at Kit Carson Elementary School. They say no action will be taken against her because it’s ‘too soon.’
