Lexington’s first shooting victim becomes first homicide victim

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- The coroner says the victim of Lexington’s first shooting of 2016 has also become the city’s first homicide victim.

He’s been identified as 28-year-old Joseph Allen McDowell. Police say McDowell was found by a neighbor early New Year’s Day with multiple gunshot wounds.  It happened in the 400 block of Roosevelt Boulevard.
