ABC 36 EXCLUSIVE: Ky Bourbon Trail to release new Field Guide, exclusive offerings

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky Distiller’s Association told ABC 36 Tuesday it is announcing a new ‘Passport and Field Guide’ this week that kicks off exclusive offerings at each distillery included.

KDA President Eric Gregory says the guide is different than the Bourbon Trail passport, but similar in idea.

“But the cool thing about this is if you get your stamp your passport stamp in distilleries, it’s going to unlock special things that you can do on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail,” he said.

For example if you bring the ‘Passport and Field Guide’ you can possibly be able to get an exclusive tasting or be able to buy an exclusive type of bottle from the distillery.

Unlike the passport, the Field Guide is not free, but still a relatively low cost at $5.99 for the 150 or so page booklet.

You can buy the guide in advance online here or at participating distilleries. The proceeds also go towards the Distiller’s Association safe and responsible drinking campaign.

Gregory said it will be officially announced Wednesday and launches at distilleries Thursday.
