UPDATE: Victim identified in fatal Friday crash

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 23-year-old man has been identified as the victim of a fatal car crash in Lexington early Friday morning.
Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn said Tomas Alfonso Hernandez Vazquez was pronounced dead at 3 a.m. from blunt force trauma in the accident that occurred in the 1700 block of Russell Cave Road.
UPDATE: (5/21/21 5:15 A.M.) – Russell Cave Road is now open between Dreamland Drive and Radcliffe Road following the investigation of a fatal crash.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – One man is dead after hitting a tree early this morning.
According to police, the accident occurred around 2:25 Friday morning on Russell Cave Road.
According to police, the man crashed into a tree and was ejected from his car. He has been pronounced dead. The victim has not yet been identified.
Russell Cave Road is closed between Dreamland Drive and Radcliffe Road as Lexington’s Collision Reconstruction Unit investigates.
