UPDATE: One dies in Old Richmond Road crash

UPDATE POSTED 2 P.M. APRIL 20, 2021

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A person was killed Tuesday morning when the Chrysler PT Cruiser they were driving left Old Richmond Road and struck a utility pole.

According to Lexington Police, the call was received at 9:55 a.m. Two other people were in the car but were not injured.

Police did not release any information, such as the sex or age of the driver or the other passengers.

Police said they still are investigating whether a medical issue or something else may have caused the crash but did say no charges are expected.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police and Fire crews are working a serious accident on Old Richmond Road near Cleveland Road South.

According to Police and witnesses at the scene, a car left Old Richmond Road, traveled down an embankment and struck a utility pole, breaking it. Utility crews have been called to the scene to repair the pole once the accident is cleared.

The call was dispatched just before 10 a.m., Tuesday. The address is listed as 7898 Old Richmond Road.
