36-year-old man electrocuted in Martin County

LOVELY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 36-year-old Martin County man was electrocuted Tuesday, according to the Kentucky State Police.

Brandon Chapman was electrocuted near an abandoned building off River Front Road in the Lovely community in eastern Martin County along the West Virginia state line, the KSP said in a statement.

Chapman, who was from the Tomahawk community in northwestern Martin County along Highway 40 west of Inez, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Martin County Coroner’s Office.

KSP Det. Tony Tackett is investigating and was assisted on scene by Martin County Sheriff’s Department.
