LPD: Man robbed at knifepoint

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say a man was robbed at knifepoint Monday night in a restaurant parking lot on Versailles Road. The reported victim told investigators that he was in the parking lot of Clamatos Mexican Restaurant just before 8:00 p.m., when a man walked-up, pulled a knife and demanded cash.

The reported victim told police the robber got away with his wallet and cell phone. He says the man left in a white or cream-colored SUV.

The man, whose names wasn’t released, described the robber as being around 5’11,” with a skinny build. The reported victim says the suspect was wearing black jeans, a black jacket and a black hat.

Police say no one was hurt. The investigation continues.
