Do the Cats have a 3-point problem?

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Are the Cats in desperate need of a go-to three-point shooter?

That’s one question being thrown around after looking at the tape against Illinois State by some Solid Blue fans.

The Cats aren’t shooting especially well, or really that poorly, from behind the arc (roughly 28 percent on the season)…but Solid Blue fans will be Solid Blue fans…and they expect perfection.

There’s want for better range…and rightfully so if you think back to the first Cal team that struggled in the NCAA tournament to hit a trey.

Mychal Mulder was labeled as a shooter coming to Lexington but hasn’t been utilized much…maybe he’s in the mix moving forward?

At any rate, Cal doesn’t seem too concerned.

Hear from coach in the video.
