Man Charged With Leaving Child In Hot Car

A trip into a store leads to the arrest of a Lexington man.

Police said Leslie True, 73, left his two-year-old great grandson in the car.

Police were called to the Rite Aid on West Loudon and North Broadway on Monday afternoon.

They said someone called, stating that the child had been alone in the car for about 15 minutes.

Police said eight minutes after they arrived, True showed up.

He is charged with wanton endangerment.

Police said the child was at risk because he was not only unsupervised, but was also in a car seat with a hot jacket in the direct sun.
