Louisville, Ky. (WTVQ) – Today at the Jefferson County Republican Party’s West End Headquarters at the Trinity Family Life Center in Louisville, Kentucky, Senator Rand Paul filed for re-election to the United States Senate and as a Presidential candidate in the Kentucky Caucus.
Joined at the event by Governor-elect Matt Bevin, Lieutenant Governor-elect Jenean Hampton, Congressman Thomas Massie, Agriculture Commissioner-elect Ryan Quarles, and State Auditor-elect Mike Harmon, Senator Paul delivered a message of promises kept, of fighting for Kentucky, and about his passion for ideas and finding solutions that leads him to follow this dual path in representing Kentucky.
“People see my voice as a unique voice in the U.S. Senate, and they want my voice still to be heard nationally.” Sen. Paul said during his announcement. “It is my goal in running for the Presidency, and in running for re-election, to talk a lot about our ideas for how we overcome are different from the other party’s.”
The paperwork and filing fees for both offices were completed and submitted today. Senator Paul is headed back to the Senate for the work week after spending the past week in Kentucky.
