Leno appearing in Richmond in celebrity series finale
RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) – Jay Leno is appearing in Richmond next spring in an event being billed as a tribute to Officer Daniel Ellis, the Richmond police officer killed in the line of duty this month.
The Lexington Herald-Leader (http://bit.ly/1SkTCNo ) reports Leno will perform at 8 p.m. April 23 at Richmond’s St. Mark Catholic Church. A news release about the event said any current Richmond police officer, Madison County sheriff’s deputy, Eastern Kentucky University police officer or Kentucky State Police officer can buy one ticket for $4.57. Ellis’ badge number was 457. One hundred tickets are available at that price. General admission is $200.
The event is the finale of the Evening Among Friends performances presented by the church and Father Jim Sichko. The event is a fundraiser for the church.
