Jay Leno to perform in Richmond, honoring Law Enforcement

RICHMOND, Ky (WTVQ)- Former Tonight Show host Jay Leno is coming to Richmond. He’s set to perform Saturday, April 23, 2016 during St. Mark Catholic Church’s ‘An Evening Among Friends.’ And organizers say the special night will honor fallen Richmond Police Officer Daniel Ellis, and show support for area law enforcement.

The church says, “In all that our city, nation and world has been through with the death of police officers, war and tensions toward one another; a little laughter is needed to rekindle the peace in our souls and who else to do it than iconic comedian and former Tonight Show host, Jay Leno.”

In memory of Officer Ellis, the church says, “Any current Richmond Kentucky Police Officer, Madison County Sheriff Deputy, EKU Police Officer or Kentucky State Police will have the opportunity to purchase one ticket at the prices of $4.57 (457 being Officer Ellis’ badge number with 100 tickets being available). Also, patrons will also have the opportunity to sponsor an officer at the regular ticket price of $200.”

This will be the last “An Evening Among Friends” event held and sponsored at St. Mark Catholic Church. Organizers say ticket prices begin at $200 and includes valet parking, food, unlimited drink and a 70 minutes show. The church says Meet and Greets and priority seating are also available.

There are only 500 tickets available. The church says they can be purchased online at www.saintmarkcatholicchurch.net, or by calling (859) 623-2989, extension 2001.
