Carbon monoxide leak sends 2 to hospital

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two people, an adult and a child, were taken to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon after becoming ill in a home where a carbon monoxide leak was detected, according to Lexington firefighters. It happened around 4:30 p.m. in a home in the 1200 block of Bryan Avenue, according to investigators.

Firefighters say the adult’s carbon monoxide poisoning case was serious, but the child’s was minor. No names were released. It was too early in the investigation to determine if there were any carbon monoxide detectors in the home.
