Corbin School’s next superintendent is promoted from within

CORBIN, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Corbin Board of Education says David Cox will be its next superintendent. And he’s very familiar with the district.

Cox currently serves as the district’s Assistant Superintendent. The board says he previously served as the Director of Academic Services at the Corbin Independent School District for four years, Principal at Corbin Middle School for six years, Assistant Principal at Corbin Middle School for five years, and taught at Corbin Middle School for five years.

“After an intensive search process, the man with integrity, experience, humility, and the heart of a Redhound was the Best choice for our next Superintendent,” Corbin Board of Education Chairperson Kim Croley said.

The board says Cox will start as superintendent January 1, 2016.
