UPDATE: Victim in Frankfort fire identified

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Franklin Co. Coroner has identified the victim in a fatal fire in Frankfort this morning.

The coroner says a post mortem examination revealed that 2-year-old Demetrius Johnson died of smoke inhalation.

Firefighters say the fire broke out around 2:00 a.m. Friday morning at the Country Hills Apartments on Schenkel Drive.

Two other victims were taken to the University of Kentucky hospital – one flown and the other taken by ambulance. Both are listed in critical condition.

Firefighters do not yet know what caused this fire.
