Barker won’t be on “short leash” vs. Charlotte

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Solid Blue fans are definitely already thinking basketball after the Cats’ big win over Duke Tuesday night, but let’s talk football for a minute.

We’ve heard Mark Stoops say Drew Barker will have the “keys to the car” this Saturday against Charlotte.

Barker’s done some good things and some bad things as the main man behind center.

Bottom line, this Saturday will be Barker’s show to run,

Just like Patrick Towles had before, Barker will have plenty of room for mistakes and learning on the job.
