Beshear: Keep healthcare exchange
Frankfort, Ky. (WTVQ) – The outgoing governor today urged the man who will take his place to keep Kentuck’ys healthcare exchange.
Governor-Elect Matt Bevins has argued that the exchange, and medicaid expansion are not financially sustainable. Today, Governor Steve Beshear made the case that they are. He said the health care reforms in place are causing the number of uninsured Kentuckians to plummet, and helping people to get the check-ups and treatment they couldn’t get before.
Beshear said scrapping the program would make no sense.
