LPD: Man tried to pass fake check

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Michigan man is behind bars in Lexington, accused of trying to pass counterfeit checks.

Court documents say 41-year-old Rondell Williams used a counterfeit check to buy high-value items at Walmart on Grey Lag Way on Wednesday.

Police were called and they tracked down his vehicle, documents say.

Police say 34 counterfeit checks were found in Willams’ car. Documents say he admitted he intended to use the checks to buy items.
