Robbery Suspect On The Loose
A suspect is still on the loose after two men were robbed at gunpoint at a Lexington gas station early Tuesday morning.
It happened around 2:30 a.m. at the Speedway on Paris Pike.
One of the victims was an employee. The other was just a customer.
Police said the two were standing outside of the gas station when they were approached by a man with a white shirt tied around his face.
The man showed a gun and demanded money.
We’re told both men were taken inside where the suspect stole cash from the register as well as the customer’s wallet.
He then ran off.
Officials searched the area using police dogs but found nothing.
They say they will use surveillance video to try to find the man.
Police also said the incident had a lot of similarities to some other recent convenience store robberies, but they don’t know if they are related.
