Two UK students get scholarships from Cal

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two University of Kentucky students got more than a chance to see the Blue-White Scrimmage in Rupp Arena on Tuesday night, they left with a scholarship for the 2016 spring semester, compliments of UK Head Coach John Calipari.

For the third consecutive year, Coach Cal awarded two lucky students at the Blue-White Scrimmage with scholarships. Kelsey Saylor, an undeclared freshman from Corbin and Jordan Evers, a sophomore public health major from Richmond, Virginia, were randomly selected to receive free tuition for the spring semester, compliments of John Calipari.

Proceeds from the John Calipari Coaches’ Clinic funds the scholarships. John Calipari began the tradition when he was the head coach at UMass.
