One Person Dead In Madison County Accident

Waco, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Madison County road is shutdown following a fatal motor vehicle accident that happened earlier this afternoon.

Authorities tell us that a truck struck a telephone pole on Meadowbrook Road in Waco around 1:00 p.m.

The Madison County coroner pronounced one person dead at the scene. A second victim was trapped and had to be cut from the wreckage. That person was airlifted to UK hospital with undisclosed injuries.

The victims’ names have not been released.

There are power outages in the area.
