Students Plant The Promise at Royal Spring Middle School
Georgetown, Ky. – Students at Royal Spring Middle School in Georgetown kicked off National Red Ribbon Week with their 5th annual “Plant The Promise”.
The students worked together to plant 1000 tulips in a symbolic pledge against drug and alcohol use.
When the tulips bloom next spring it brings the students back to their pledge and conversations reemerge in an effort to keep the importance of being drug free at the forefront of their goals.
November classroom guidance lessons will revolve around the strategies and tools students need to carry out the promise to be drug free.
