Family Member Arrested In Madison County Cold Case

Police in Madison County have broken a cold case wide open, and they didn’t have to look any further than the murdered woman’s family.

According to Richmond police, William Cody Tribble,22, has confessed to beating his great-grandmother, Joanne Tribble, to death back in 2008.

William was only 17 years old at the time of the murder, so he is currently being charged as a minor. According to police, his grandmother died of blunt force trauma to the head. Police say they had been looking into William as a suspect since his great-grandmother’s death.
