Setting the stage – EKU vs. TN State series history

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – EKU takes on Tennessee State this Saturday at Roy Kidd Stadium for homecoming.

The Colonels are 3-0 in OVC play, the Tigers, 0-3.

Eastern beat TSU 56-42 in Nashville last year.

The series between the two is even more lopsided…EKU owning a 22-5 mark over State, but three of the Tigers’ wins have come in the last six meetings.

State last beat the Colonels in Richmond back in 2009…20-17.

But EKU head coach Dean Hood knows none of the history matters come kickoff.
