Arrest made in break-in, robbery

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington man is accused of breaking into an apartment and robbing two people last week.

Court documents say 19-year-old Dieontae Gillis, along with two other men, knocked on the victims’ door in the 3500-block of Tates Creek Road and forced their way into the apartment when those inside opened the door.

Documents say Gillis and the other suspects were armed with guns and demanded money and other items from the victims.

Police say the victims recognized Gillis and one of the other suspects.

Gillis is charged with robbery.
