Woman killed in I-64 crash

MOUNT STERLING, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 28-year old woman was killed Thursday afternoon in a crash in the eastbound lane of Interstate 64 in Montgomery County, according to the coroner. Her name wasn’t immediately released because her family had not been notified. She was not from the area, according to the coroner.

All eastbound lanes near Mount Sterling were temporarily closed after the crash, creating a huge traffic backup, according to State Police. The cause of the deadly accident is still under investigation.
