Polls open in Berea for alcohol sales vote

BEREA, Ky. (WTVQ) – Larger restaurants in Berea may be able to sell alcoholic beverages with food after a vote Tuesday.

All Berea precincts will vote at the Berea Community School, Gary Conkin Gymnasium, 101 Pirate Parkway, in Berea. The polls opened at 6:00 a.m. and will close at 6:00 p.m.

If passed, the vote will allow restaurants that seat up to 50 people, and that generate at least 70 percent of their gross income from food sales, will be able to apply for licenses to serve alcoholic beverages with meals.
