Fundraiser to be held for Trooper Ponder’s family

HICKORY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police are announcing a fundraiser to be held for Trooper Cameron Ponder’s family.

Back Yard Burgers in Lone Oak, Paducah, and Murray will be holding the fundraiser Thursday, September 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.  A portion of all their sales on Thursday will be given to the family of Trooper Ponder.

State police say Trooper Ponder was shot and killed September 13 during a chase after a traffic stop in Lyon Co.
